Medical Education: Cardiac Surgery

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiovascular medicine is undergoing substantial changes in the last years. Including aortic surgery there is a constant progress in the techniques of open and endovascular techniques.

The BALTIC VASCULAR CONFERENCE will address established classical and hybrid techniques in aortic valve and aortic surgery including an educational program.

The main focus will be given to aortic valve replacement, David’s and Yacoub’s procedure, surgery of the ascending aorta and the aortic arch and TEVAR with detailed training on hands-on and simulation devices. In a highly effective hands-on circuit training all participants will be trained and supervised.

The BALTIC VASCULAR CONFERENCE’s cardiovascular part is addressed to cardiovascular clinicians who want to apply cardiovascular technologically advanced methods. The additional vascular part is addressed to vascular clinicians and engineers who are developing vascular medicine for the next decade. The interdisciplinary concept of this conference is based on contemplation of actual clinical challenges and their solutions with medical technology.

Leading clinicians and scientists will provide substantial information to the audience.

We are looking forward to see you in Luebeck.
